The award was accepted on President Masum’s behalf by Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari.

The Global Hope Coalition’s 2017 A Hero for Humanity award was given posthumously to:
Bialystok 1929 – New York 2015
A survivor of Auschwitz who became an advisor to President Kennedy on international trade, an architect of “peace through commerce” theory, and an indefatigable peacemaker and bridgebuilder.
The award was accepted by Judith Pisar, UNESCO Special Envoy for Cultural Diplomacy, in the name of her late husband.
Special Recognition for Outstanding Efforts to Promote Cultural Heritage
The Global Hope Coalition’s award was presented to:

The award was accepted by company president, Ms. Zhang Kunlan.
